Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Meeting Minutes
Due to the CoronaVirus pandemic, the meeting was held as a zoom Call.
June 8, 2021

Present: Kevin Sing, Donna Bateman,Shari Fiocca, Kristy Byers, Becky Bouck, Brittany Rojek, Joe Cerullo, along with administrative assistant Mandie Wade.
The meeting was called to order at 3:30pm.
Chamber Lease: Kristy motioned to renew the Chamber Lease with the Village of Manhattan. Kevin S. seconded the motion. Motion carried. Will be taken to the village board for final approval.
Business Card Books: Still needs to be put together and we are still collecting business cards for these books.
Banner Renewal: Headed by Shari. Old banners were damaged. Shari received two quotes to receive banners. Banners are replaced every two years. Kevin S. motioned to make forward with ordering new banners. Joe seconded motion. Motion Carried. Banner renewal letter will need to be sent out to members.
Ladies Night Out: Headed by Kriisty. Tobacco store is fine with using the parking lot as long as we leave spots for his business. Special event permit is needed for the event. Kevin S. will send it to Kristy.
Craft Show: 6/19 date of craft show: headed by Mandie. Will have the map drawn up by this Monday.Have approximately 20 vendors plus Manhattan crafts. $50 raffles. Kevin S. motioned- Kristy seconded for raffle giveaway. Motion carried.
Oktoberfest: Application needs to be submitted to the village. Tabled until next meeting.
Fireworks: Kevin S.- The village will do fireworks considering moving to a more central location.
Fireworks will be held on the Sunday of Labor Day. We will be using Melrose for fireworks. The Chamber will donate the money they raised from Super Bowl squares to assist with the cost.
