The Labor Day Fireworks are a long-standing tradition in Manhattan.  They have been sponsored by many different organizations. Recently, the fireworks were in jeopardy of being cancelled.  At that time, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce took on the responsibility of sponsoring the Fireworks display with the help of some local businesses. In 2018, because of the rising cost of the fireworks , it was decided to create a fund-raising campaign to help pay for the annual Labor Day Fireworks display.  We started a Go Fund Me campaign and with the donations from local businesses and residents, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce was able to collect enough money to continue the tradition of Labor Day Fireworks.  The plan for 2019 is to once again reach out to the community to help support our efforts in providing a Fireworks dislplay for the town to enjoy. This year the Labor Day Fireworks will once again be held on the Sunday before Labor Day, September 1st at dusk. The fireworks can be viewed at Central Park or from the comfort of your own home.
