Manhattan on Tap
The Manhattan on Tap Event took place on Saturday, June 16th, from 5:00 pm to 11:30 pm in downtown Manhattan. It was a great night out close to home. Food, craft beers, domestic beers, and live entertainment were offered.
There was great tasting food from local restaurants such as Candy and Corn, Manhattan Firehouse Grill, Parmesan’s Wood Stone Pizza, and Roadhouse 52.
At Manhattan on Tap, you had the option of a craft beer tasting from some of the finest local breweries from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. The Tasting Package included entry to the festival, a souvenir tasting glass and 7 tasting tickets.
Since craft beers aren’t for everyone, a reduced general admission ticket was also available that will provide access to domestic mainstream beers, food and live entertainment.
For entertainment, there were two live bands performing that evening. Bruce Stone and Friends kicked off the fest from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with an eclectic mix of classic rock and original compositions with an acoustic spin covering artists from Johnny Cash to Pink Floyd and little of everything in between.
From 8:30 pm – 11:30 pm, Hi Infidelity took the stage. Hi Infidelity™ is an 80’s Rock cover band from the Chicago area. This award winning band had great vocals and harmonies, played the biggest hits from the Golden Age of Rock and the best new music, too.
The best part of this festival is that the profits from Manhattan on Tap were given back to the non-profit community groups that helped organize the event. Those groups are: Illinois Celtics Baseball, Manhattan Patriots Football/Cheer, Manhattan Township Food Pantry, Operation Care Package and the Village of Manhattan. We would like to thank all the people who attended and helped support these local organizations
