Parade of Lights

The Christmas on State Parade of Lights is a long-standing tradition that the residents look forward to as a kick-off to the Christmas season. It leads up to the Tree Lighting in Time Square, which takes place immediately following the parade. The parade starts at Second Street and Route 52 and proceeds to North St.  Turning east on North Street, the parade ends and parade participants and residents gather to watch the Tree Lighting.

Businesses, organizations, and families are invited to enter a float in the parade. It is an exciting event as the floats are decorated and illuminated with thousands of lights adding to the festivity of the Christmas season.

The 2019 Parade of Lights will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2019. Stay tuned for more details closer to the event.

2018 Parade of Lights

The 2018 Parade of Lights took place on Saturday, December 1st at 5:45 pm. Although the weather was threatening to be extremely rainy, it held off until the parade and Tree Lighting were over. The bad weather did not deter parade-goers from attending and enjoying the floats and Santa.
