Recognizing Manhattan Area Centennial Farm Families

The Manhattan Township Historical Museum had an exhibit that spotlighted Manhattan’s rural roots at 255 S. State Street. Manhattan area Centennial farms, which have been handed down from one generation to the next for at least 100 years, took center stage in photos, artifacts and informational write-ups. The free exhibit was open to the public on 4 different dates from 10 am to 2 pm. People were invited to come and share stories of the town’s history and its farming community.
Also featured were 130 years of Manhattan Village history, local business memorabilia and historic photos of the town.
